Life Care Center of Columbia, South Carolina, hosted its annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast on Sept. 8, 2017, and more than 45 individuals answered the call.

Local police, firefighters and EMS workers were invited to drop in for a free hot breakfast to honor their dedication, sacrifice and service to the community. Associates served shrimp and grits, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns and waffles.

“It was a great turnout, and all the attendees were much appreciative,” said Tina Thompson, admissions coordinator.

Even some residents came to the event to thank the first responders for their service.
